Alumni
Our Alumni association "Verein zur Förderung von Forschung und Lehre am Institut für Kommunikationswissenschaft und Medienforschung der LMU München e.V.” (VFKW) was established as a non-profit organization in 1999. The association’s mission is as follows:
- To advance teaching and research in the Department
- To network between students, alumni, and the Department
- To establish a career network for students and alumni
- To support alumni and students (e.g., career advice, network building)
In addition, the VFKW supports the following activities, among others:
- Department magazine “Communichator analog”
- Research projects within the Department
- Travel grants for academic staff members
- Job Center for students and graduates
- Scientific conferences within the Department
- Best Thesis Award for outstanding student works
- Awarding of “Deutschlandstipendium”
