In 2005 Bernhard Goodwin completed his Magister degree after studying Communication Studies, Computer Science and Law at LMU in Munich, Germany and social research, computer science and economics at UCT in Cape Town, South Africa. 2011 he earned his PhD in Social Science from the TUM in Munich, Germany. He worked from 2005 to 2009 at TUM's Chair of Forest and Environmental Policy. Since 2009 he worked at LMU's Department of Communication Studies and Media Research responsible for the journalism-degree and international affairs. Since 2010 he is also the department manager. Since 2021 he is executive director of the Munich Science Communication Lab, a joint initiative dedicated to further the knowledge about science communication.
