Julian Hohner studied political science from 2012 to 2018 (Bachelor 2012 - 2016 and Master 2016 - 2018) with a focus in computational social science at Otto-Friedrich University Bamberg. Starting 2014, he worked as student
assistant for Prof. Dr. Thomas Saalfeld at the chair of comparative politics. He also started to work as scientific coordinator for the Bamberg Graduate School of Social Science.
Since January 2020, Julian Hohner is a research associate at the chair of Prof. Dr. Diana Rieger at the Department of Media and Communication.
Resarch Focus: His research is mainly focused in the are of computational social science. Beside this methodolical focus, Julian Hohner is also interested in the research fields of political behavior and communication, as well as right-wing populism. He currently analyses radicalisation processes and extremism in digital environments.
