Further Information
Andreas A. Riedl studied Communication Studies at the University of Vienna. From 2018 to 2022, he worked as a Junior Scientist at the Institute for Comparative Media and Communication Studies at the Austrian Academy of
Sciences in Vienna, and in 2021, research associate at the Research and Teaching Division for Media Convergence (Prof. Birgit Stark) at the Department of Communication at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. During this time, he was external lecturer at the University of Klagenfurt, Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University, and LMU Munich. Between 2020 and 2023, he served as spokesperson of the Network for Young Scholars of Journalism Studies (mijofo). From 2018 to 2023, he did his PhD with a study on journalistic influences on news quality. Since April 2023, he is research associate at the Department of Media and Communication at LMU Munich.
Between his studies and doctorate in 2017-18, he worked as a media researcher at the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation.
