Further Information

Constanze Rossmann has been chair of communication studies at the Institute of Communication and Media Research at LMU Munich since October 2021. She was professor of communication studies with a focus on social communication at the University of Erfurt from 2014 to 2021, vice dean for research at the faculty of philosophy from 2017 to 2021, and vice president of the Erfurt Laboratory for Empirical Research at the University of Erfurt from 2019 to 2021. She received her doctorate from LMU Munich, where she also completed her habilitation in communication studies. She has worked as a substitute or visiting professor at the universities of Hanover, Mainz, and Zurich. She is co-initiator and former spokesperson of the DGPuK specialist group on health communication and co-founder of the master's program in health communication at the University of Erfurt, which was introduced in 2017. Her research focuses on health communication (esp. strategic health communication, eHealth and mHealth, crisis communication) as well as media use and effects.
