Arne Freya Zillich studied media studies, psychology, and political science at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. She completed her doctorate in television entertainment in a group-viewing situation (Friedrich Schiller
University Jena) and habilitated with a study on orientation in complex media environments (Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF). She joined the Department of Communication Studies and Media Research at LMU in April 2024.
