Further Information
Julian Hohner studied Political Science with a focus on Computational Social Science at Otto-Friedrich University Bamberg, earning his Bachelor's degree from 2012 to 2016 and his Master's degree from 2016 to 2018. During his studies, he began working as a research assistant in 2014 at the Chair of Comparative Politics led by Prof. Dr. Thomas Saalfeld.
Since January 2020, Julian Hohner has been a research associate in a research project in the teaching and research area of Prof. Dr. Rieger at the Institute for Communication Science and Media Research at LMU Munich.
Research Focus: His research interests are methodologically in the field of Computational Social Science. In addition to his methodological interest, he works on topics related to digital mobilization, right-wing online communication, TikTok, and political communication in general. Within the project and his doctoral research, he deals with the analysis of different right-wing mobilization strategies based on current AI-based methods.
