Prof. Dr. Reinemann
The research of Professor Carsten Reinemann and his team addresses a wide array of topics mostly connected to political communication and media effects. This includes issues such as the mediatization of politics, political journalism and its interaction with politics, political media coverage, and political media effects. In addition, several members of the team put their focus on youth-related issues such as media competence, cyber-bullying, and the role of the media in political socialization. The team uses both quantitative and qualitative approaches and applies a wide spectrum of designs, methods of data gathering and analysis including panel studies, experiments, content analysis, real-time response measurement, and diverse types of interviews in its research.
